Atis is the Deputy Chairman of the Cēsis Municipality Council. Five years ago, he took a leap of faith, leaving behind the familiar life and career in Liepāja to move to Cēsis. Everything changed – familiar faces for unfamiliar ones, a known environment for an unknown one, familiar things for unknown ones.

Atis himself describes it as the greatest step out of the comfort zone, despite his long-standing work in various positions, projects, and roles in the public sector.
